Our Story

Alejandro and Angelique were friends for a couple of years during college

and bonded over a shared love of classic rock and Catholicism.

 

When Alejandro went off to Army Basic Training in 2021, they'd write letters to each other - and it was near the end of that summer that he professed his feelings. He waited eagerly for the letter she sent back saying she felt the same way. A few long months later, he returned from training, they played baseball as friends for one last time,

and then he asked her on their first date.

Some of their favorite memories are getting stranded on a volcano in El Salvador, doing a summer of pro-life canvassing in Kansas City, meeting the president of Guatemala, biking from Ottawa to Montreal, and getting engaged in the middle of Highway 50. Some of their favorite things to do are going to mass and

praying in Adoration together, reading at local coffee shops, venturing in nature, trying new food places

around the city and on their travels, swing dancing, and looking forward to

laughing, dreaming, and being best friends for the rest of their lives.
